Kestrel 4 Light 6 Cylinder 1934
Price: £24,900 Reg No : AYT 465 Chassis No: 44T 2134 Engine No: 12T 2134.
This super example of Riley's successful sporting saloons of the 1930`s is attractive and highly useable. It is a matching numbers car which was put on the road in 1985 after restoration. The number as evidenced by the buff log book is original and has been recovered to go with the car which is declared manufactured in 1934. The car is mot'd until October 2009 and has historic road tax. Formerly owned and run regularly by Barrie Gillies the car is finished in blue with black wings and blue leather upholstery.
She has the desirable special series 6 cylinder engine mated to the Armstrong Siddeley preselecta gearbox and comes equipped with twin SU carbs and 6 branch exhaust system endowing the car with a good turn of speed. Mechanically the car seems very sound indeed with good oil pressure and running gear and braking system are like wise in good fettle.
Overall a highly desirable Riley in good running condition with the benefit of a working sunroof and attractively priced when considering the rarity of original 6 cylinder Rileys today.
