Reg No: JOM 666 - Chassis No: TBA - Engine No: TBA - Price: £ 8,900
Ashridge Automobiles is pleased to offer this very rewarding restoration project . One of the most desirable cars that Rileys produced, this is the rare and highly desirable Riley Lynx from 1933 which is the first year of Lynx production. It is the 2 door disappearing hood model.
The car is complete as far as the major components are concerned and comes with Riley 9 engine and all helical, 4 speed manual gearbox. It has had its chassis restored and fuel tank as indeed the back axle. These have been removed but come with the car.
The bulkhead appears to be in sound condition both wood and panel wise and the rear end could do with restoring but all of the panels are in place and the ash is fair but useful as a template if splicing in sections. The hood frame is present and complete and folds well into the recess under the hoodlid.
The all important screen is present as are the scuttle mounting struts and included are Rotax headlamps and front and rear sidelights.
This car will make such a rewarding project and ultimately be one of the prettiest small cars of the 30`s period. Ashridge Automobiles on completion of body and mechanicals will offer to trim the car in leather with a colour of your choice and make a new tonneau and hood for £3500 if you so desire.
